Me and my husband are going to Dubai in October and I want to know if it’s acceptable to wear sandles with my feet exposed or should my feet be covered?
I know it’s not necessary but I want to cover in proper islamic dress and wear Hijab when I’m out there, but I’m uncertain about covering my feet.

Yes, sandles are fine. Even the Emirati women wear open shoes under their abayas.

Western women are not required to wear an abaya while in the UAE, however if you want to do so you should be ok. If wearing Western clothing, the Emiratis ask that clothing is modest and covers shoulders to knees. Recently some female tourists have been literally ‘red carded’ in public by security guards for wearing immodest clothing, and asked to go and change into something that is more attuned to local sentiment. You should also note that locals are very sensitive about public displays of affection. Married couples may hold hands, but that is the limit. A British couple were recently arrested for indecent behaviour (kissing) in a restaurant. They appealed the sentence imposed, and lost that one too.

Why not call Sandals and ask? Sandals are all inclusive, typically, so I’m not sure what they’d be charging you for. . . other than your stay.

When I have spillage whilst using Dr. Horace McChonnercories Moustache Wax for gentleman. I find the best way to remove the dammed stuff is dynamite, and plenty of it. As for your bunged up plug hole madam I suggest you seek urgent medical attention.

I have a new pair of gladiator sandles i bought fron Shoezone ( the multi coloured ones) and Im screwed. Cause my fat feet, even tough their my size, they’re super tight to get into . And I really need these shoes for my holiday in 4 days, because i havn’t got a pair of sandles and i hate flip flops. ADVICE PLEASE!!

take them back and swap for next size up

I am looking for the above for traveling as I can only find fumpy comfy sandles, want something stylish and that would cover a bunuon! LOL! Something with a 2 inch thick heal or wedge. In white and you could dress up or go causal.
Don’t want mules or filp flops, something to support my feet.

I have sandles from american eagle and basically wear them every day. They are starting to smell and are getting really dirty. Would it be ok to put them in the washing machine? Oh by the way they have a leather strap that goes over the front toes like normal sandles.

Shampoo works the best. it gets out the oils that the lotion on your feet leave. those oils are what cause your sandals to get so dirty. Shampoo your flip flops, then towel dry them, scrubbing hard. works every time!

I am wondering if gold metalicish or silver ones would go good? Someone said white but I think they would stand out too much cuz the dress is all one color.
