Living In Your Own Pair Of Slide Sandals

In some countries it is considered peculiar and often rude to wear shoes in the house, yet in the US it remains the norm to keep your shoes on when you enter the house. If this is to keep the floors clean or just a matter of comfort, there are some shoes that girls particularly can't wait to take off when they get home, and there are others that you'd almost like to live in them.

Sandals are a category of shoes that generally are considered comfort shoes. They are in many ways the most practical type of shoe and are certainly the kind that has been around the longest! They are probably the type of shoe least likely to be removed upon returning home and the kind most likely to be used as a slipper, apart from an actual pair of slippers.

Slide sandals in particular are extremely comfortable and often become the wearer’s favorite pair of shoes. These sandals are made up of a comfortable sole and a single, wide strap across the top of the foot. Nothing could be more simple, really.

This type of footwear is worn by men and women alike. It is often considered quite sporty or casual sandals, especially those made by sportswear companies made of plastic and rubber and with a sporty design. These are perfect for wearing to a sporting even before changing into your sports shoes.

Other slide sandals are a bit more versatile. They might also have something of a sporty appearance, but they work well with any casual outfit you might care to wear them with. Even the very casual sports versions are commonly worn around town, and double as a most excellent pair of house slippers!

Another type of casual sandals, flip flops, which are also sometimes referred to as thongs, are also a fantastic summer sandal. Flip flops are great beach sandals which, like slide sandals, will not catch and carry sand as you walk along the beach. They are also usually made of materials that make them waterproof and comfortable to wear in wet environments.

Although they may not work in every situation, such as a formal night out, slide sandals and flip flops are made in styles and designs that will make them ideal for almost any setting. You can’t go wrong with a few pairs of these in your wardrobe.

When you come home from a long day out, if you’ve been wearing slide sandals, instead of wanting to get them off your feet as soon as possible, you will most likely not want to remove them at all. On the contrary, and if you’ve been wearing dress shoes or even heavier sports shoes you may just want to take them off and swap them for your slide sandals!
